So how can Ferris Manufacturing help you? Below are some of our larger projects we are working on to take our learning to a higher level.
Ferris FarmBot - combining the idea of a garden with the technology of today. Our FarmBot will plant, water and weed our garden. The best part is that it is HACKABLE. This means students can create new ways in which to use the FarmBot.
3Devo, our 3D print recycling station. We are one of only 4 high schools in the US that have this system. Now we can prototype all of our projects and not worry about wasted filament. Once done, prints can be put into the shredder and granulizer to create extra small pieces. Then, these pieces will be placed into the extruder and we can create new filament to be used again. Students have met
3D Printing. We have expanded our line of 3D printers. We can print with almost every filament type available. We even have a 3D printer that will print with Onyx and fiberglass. Combining this will all of our CAD work and we can design and print any project.
XTool M1 laser engraver. This allows us the ability to laser in images and text to student projects.
